Otus is solving two of the biggest challenges facing K-12 education: teachers need to get more things done in a limited amount of time and all stakeholders (students, families, teachers, and administrators) need access to relevant student performance data.

We are looking for a Vice President of Marketing to join our executive team. In this role, you’ll develop the growth marketing vision, strategy, and team to help Otus pursue our goal of providing K-12 educators with a student growth platform to maximize student success and outcomes.

As the Vice President of Marketing, you'll be responsible for identifying strategies to acquire new customers while building a high-performing marketing function. We're looking for an expert growth marketing leader to develop and scale campaigns across multiple channels while helping others succeed as an excellent cross-functional collaborator. This role reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention in partnership with sales, product, and customer success leaders
  • Spearhead cross-functional growth initiatives to innovate on how we drive business growth 
  • Set business growth goals with executive leadership; analyze and report on performance, impact, and insights
  • Hire, manage, and develop a data-driven, high performing marketing team
  • Establish and manage budget tied to core company goals
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to drive competitive messaging and positioning
  • Set and enforce brand standards; ensure that all content, promotions, and design are consistent
  • Lead marketing team to develop and optimize campaigns and channel strategy across email, website, paid media, social media, SEO, and more
  • Create lead attribution models to measure marketing impact through-to-sale
  • Contribute to the development of forward-thinking marketing strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or comparable degree preferred
  • 8+ years of marketing leadership and experience 
  • Experience in K-12 education and/or B2B SaaS 
  • Experience creating and managing marketing budgets
  • 5+ years of experience hiring and developing high-performing marketing teams as well  as managing agencies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Effective collaboration with multi-function teams and ability to champion new projects and ideas
  • Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from complex data
  • Knowledge and expertise with the marketing tech stack
  • Passionate about making a difference in education
